National Heart Month
SADS isn’t just an organization – we’re a community. And we celebrate you, our community, every month – but especially during National Heart Month.
This is your month, and this year we have a pledge to make it easier than ever to get involved. Our pledge is designed for your schedule – whether you only have 5 minutes at the end of the day, or whether you want to dig in to our awareness activities, you can choose what works for you – and we’ll send you everything you need.
To be a part of our pledge, you can do any (or all!) of the following …

Donate to National Heart Month
- Share awareness graphics on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Let’s use the power of posting to help mobilize more people to step in when a cardiac emergency happens.
- Order a free Red Kit. Order your free Red Kit to spread awareness in your community! Each Red Kit contains 10 wristbands, 10 CPR facts to pass out to friends and family, and a letter for volunteers. Please note that we can only ship Red Kits within the U.S. – international families can still order a digital version.
- Share your story to keep the conversation going. With Damar on the front page of every newspaper, this is a unique opportunity to keep SCA and SADS in the news. We’ve got everything you’ll need to get started – from an email you can send reporters to a fact sheet with everything they need to know. We can even provide an expert to give a medical quote!
- Go big with a billboard – or radio PSA. We designed a billboard campaign with a simple goal: to make sure that as many people as possible know that fainting can be a potential warning sign of a cardiac condition. We’ve prepared all the materials you’ll need to reach out to your local billboard companies and radio stations.
