Link My Heart – Brugada Project

Link My Heart – Brugada Project is a new effort with a mission to improve the understanding of the medical and genetic aspects of inherited heart rhythm conditions by partnering with patients. We aim to empower patients by providing them the opportunity to contribute to research that is relevant to their condition. Our team will use an open science research model where we will make data available to other qualified researchers to drive discovery. As the project grows our team will work to share aggregate findings with participants. It is our hope that this research will help individuals with these conditions and their family members lead longer and healthier lives.

Link My Heart is inviting individuals to participate in its first project, the Brugada Project. This project is open to adult patients across the USA and Canada who have been diagnosed with Brugada syndrome. Participants will be asked to complete brief online health surveys, and provide consent to share their relevant cardiology medical records. In addition, participants will be mailed a saliva collection kit, and be asked to provide a sample for research based genetic testing.
